Lankes Webinar to Focus on New Librarianship

The Texas Woman’s University School of Library Information Studies is proud to host Dr. R. David Lankes at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24, in a webinar on New Librarianship: The Knowledge Business.

Lankes, the author of “The Atlas of New Librarianship” and “Expect More”, was the recipient of the American Library Association’s 2016 Ken Haycock Award for Promoting Librarianship. His book, “The Atlas of New Librarianship” won the 2012 ABC-CLIO/Greenwood Award for the Best Book in Library Literature. He has been a visiting fellow at the National Library of Canada, the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and was the first fellow of ALA’s Office for Information Technology Policy.

Attendees can expect knowledge about the mindset, skills and steps to take to facilitate change with local communities.
