Volunteer Advising
What is Volunteer Advising?
Do you want to make a difference in the community but don’t know where to start?
Do you need service hours but aren’t sure how to start volunteering?
Submit a Volunteer Advising Request Form and meet one on one with a Helping Hands Service Advisor. They will talk with you about your likes and skills and help connect you with opportunities on and off campus to meet your needs.
How Does it Work?
- Fill out the Helping Hands Service Ambassador’s Volunteer Advising Request Form on myTWU.
- A Helping Hands Service Ambassador will connect with you one on one to help you discover the possibilities and help you start making an impact in the community.
- After you meet, the Helping Hands Service Ambassador will send a summary of your meeting and provide you with any resources discussed.
- A Helping Hands Service Ambassador will follow up after a few weeks to hear about your action to service.
