Make a Difference Day

If you have ever wondered if your actions can make a difference, the answer is yes! Make a Difference Day, hosted in October, is a nationally recognized day of service where individuals and organizations engage in acts of kindness and service to impact communities.

Multiple service sites on campus and in the community are offered to provide a variety of opportunities. Students can also apply to be a Site Leader for Make a Difference Day. Applications open early in the Fall semester. Check the Helping Hands Service Ambassadors Pioneer Engage page for that announcement and application.

When: Friday, October 24, 2025.

Where: On-campus and off-campus

Check-in: Report to your site 15 minutes before your site start time. A Make a Difference Day Site Leader will provide you with details prior to the event and will give you appropriate check-in and site details.

  • All site and project details will be provided via your TWU email by your site leader one week prior to the event.
  • All volunteers must download your event pass from Pioneer Engage to check-in.
  • Some sites require a waiver to be completed in advance. Be sure to check the details in the notes when you sign up.
  • Service is between 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Exact times for specific projects are included on the sign up form.
