Helping Hands Service Ambassadors
Who are Helping Hands Service Ambassadors?
Helping Hands Service Ambassadors are students committed to empowering Pioneers to make a lasting impact through community service. Our goal is to promote the value of service, plan and lead meaningful volunteer opportunities, and provide students with the resources and guidance they need to get involved. Through collaboration, leadership, and dedication, we strive to connect students with resources that foster a spirit of service, compassion, and social responsibility, while creating opportunities for connection, growth, and positive change in our community—driven by service with heart.
Volunteer Advising
Interested in serving the community but not sure where to start? Fill out our Volunteer Advising Form and a Helping Hands Service Ambassador will connect with you one on one to help you discover the possibilities and help you start making an impact in the community.
Monthly Service Opportunities
Throughout the academic year, Helping Hands Service Ambassadors plan monthly community service events for any TWU student to participate. All upcoming opportunities and how to sign up can be found on our Pioneer Engage.
Signature Events
Make a Difference Day (October)
The Big Event (April)
Helping Hands Service Ambassadors plan two signature events that are a campus-wide call to action to serve. You can serve individually, with your class, your organization, or a group of friends at one of the many on-campus or off-campus opportunities.
If you want to take your service to the next level, these signature events will have opportunities to apply to be a Site Leader. Site Leaders are individuals assigned to specific sites and help connect students and the organization for the day. Training is offered for students selected to be Site Leaders.
