Research Security Training
Requirement: Per Section 10634 of the CHIPS and Science Act of 2022, covered individuals (senior/key personnel) listed on the application for a research and development award are required to take the Research Security training in alignment with the requirements of the agency to which they are submitting a proposal. Research Security Training must be completed within 12 months prior to submission of proposals to the following agencies:
- Department of Energy - Effective May 1, 2025
- National Institutes of Health - Effective May 26, 2025
- National Science Foundation - Effective October 10, 2025
- U.S. Department of Agriculture - Effective October 10, 2025
To meet the federal agencies’ requirements, TWU researchers must complete Research Security Training on an annual basis. Researchers need to complete the Research Security Training (Combined) course available on CITI.
