Evaluating the Educational Impact of a Decision Tree Tool
This pilot study seeks to evaluate the feasibility and potential educational benefits of integrating a decision tree tool into occupational therapy (OT) fieldwork rotations. The decision tree is designed to assist OT students in selecting appropriate evidence-based interventions during clinical decision-making. By collaborating with five fieldwork educators (FWE) and tracking student outcomes, we aim to assess the tool’s usability, its effect on student confidence and competence, and its value in enhancing the educational experience. Findings will be used to refine the tool and inform future applications for broader implementation and larger-scale funding.
