Nutrition department hosts student networking event

September 14, 2023 – DENTON – Texas Woman’s nutrition students will have an opportunity to meet with professionals in the food industry at a networking dinner event on Tuesday, Sept. 19. 

Longhorn Section of Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) will host its September meeting on TWU’s Denton campus. Longhorn IFT is a nonprofit networking and educational organization. 

This event will include a free dinner, panel with industry professionals, speakers and networking opportunities. 

Nutrition and Food Sciences Department chair Shane Broughton, PhD and faculty members will share details about various programs in the department. The Longhorn IFT leadership team will be introduced, and a new industry outreach program will be announced. 

There will be time at the start and end of the event for students to meet with attendees.
