Texas Woman's Doswell Conference focuses on health informatics

March 27, 2019—DALLAS—Texas Woman’s University is focusing on informatics as it applies to community health care at its annual Doswell Informatics Conference, which will be held April 5 at the TWU T. Boone Pickens Institute of Health Sciences – Dallas Center.

“We want this conference to be a catalyst for more community collective initiatives that include health informatics for data use, technology-supported community connections, and optimized provider experiences using technology,” said event organizer and TWU nursing professor Mari Tietze, Ph.D.

Conference keynote speakers include Steve Miff, Ph.D., president and CEO of Parkland Clinical Care Innovations in Dallas; Marisa Wilson, DNSc, senior scientist of the University of Alabama’s Informatics Institute; and Nora Belcher, executive director of the Texas e-Health Alliance in Austin.

There is no charge for this conference, which is targeted toward health professionals. Preregistration is required at www.bit.ly/TWUDoswell2019 Complimentary registration include meals, snacks, parking and up to six continuing education credits.
