TWU Music announces Fall 2022 schedule
August 1, 2022 – DENTON – The annual holiday concert, A Very Merry Concert!, will cap the Texas Woman's University Division of Music's 17-event calendar of performances for Fall 2022.
The season will open with Faculty Recital: Pam Youngblood, flute, on Sept. 20, followed by TWU Voice Faculty Recital: “Songs My Students Taught Me” on Sept. 22. Both performances will be at the Margo Jones Performance Hall in the Music Building beginning at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free.
There will be seven ticketed concerts in the Margo Jones Performance Hall:
- Oct. 4: TWU Wind Symphony Concert
- Oct. 6: TWU Concert Choir & Chamber Singers Concert
- Nov. 1: TWU University Band Concert
- Nov 8: TWU Concert Choir & Chamber Singers Concert
- Nov. 11: TWU Wind Symphony (Pioneer Honor Band Festival)
- Nov. 1: TWU University Chorus & Chamber Orchestra Concert
- Dec. 6: A Very Merry Concert!
Admission for ticketed shows is $10 for general admission, $5 for students/seniors, and free for children under 12. Tickets are available online, and links to purchase tickets are on the schedule of events. All events are free for TWU Music students. Student ticket prices apply to TWU students in other departments, grade-school students and students at other universities. A valid student ID is required. Senior ticket prices apply to patrons 62 and older.
Two free performances will be held in the Little Chapel-in-the-Woods, Faculty Recital: Carlo Pezzimenti, guitar on Nov. 15 and TWU Guitar Ensemble Concert on Nov. 17.
