Student Association for Music Therapy
A student chapter of the American Music Therapy Association Students
The Student Association for Music Therapy serves as a pre-professional group that gives assistance and methods of preparation to individuals that are pursuing a career in the field of Music Therapy. Our overall purpose is to bring more awareness and support to clinical and evidenced-based music therapy and its practice in meeting an individual’s goals within a therapeutic setting.
For more information on meetings and how to join, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The American Music Therapy Association Students (AMTAS) Membership is open to students who are declared music therapy majors enrolled in AMTAS-approved schools or other interested students. Student membership will provide the privilege of participation in the activities of the association on the national and regional levels, and the right to receive the Journal of Music Therapy, Music Therapy Perspectives, imagine, AMTAS.Pro, and other selected national and regional publications of the association.
