Marketing team makes splash in first national competition

The TWU AMA chapter finished in third place along with six other colleges in the case competition at the AMA International Collegiate Conference. In just its first year of existence and first time at the convention, the Texas Woman’s chapter was also recognized as outstanding for its professional development efforts over the past year. 

Peers’ experiences helped fuel alum’s mental health enterprise

After receiving an MBA from Texas Woman’s, Awstin Gregg founded his own company, Connections Wellness Group, a behavioral health services provider. In December 2022, Gregg received the Outstanding Healthcare Executive award by D CEO, a publication that covers local businesses and business people in Dallas. D CEO also named him one of Dallas’ 500 most powerful business leaders. 

Student chapter named finalist in business case competition

In just its first year as a student organization, the Texas Woman’s American Marketing Association chapter was named one of 10 finalists in the AMA Collegiate Case Competition. 

International competition sharpens business students’ skills

A TWU College of Business management information systems class participated in an international virtual business challenge in fall 2022. The exercise included 6,189 students from 140 universities in 43 countries on six continents. Three TWU students and their respective teams were selected as finalist teams. 

Dream to learn English turns to wave of academic achievement

Fernanda Muniz had a dream to spend a semester learning English in the United States. Muniz ended up accomplishing a lot more than learning English. She went on to earn an undergraduate degree and MBA from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio followed by a PhD in business administration from the University of North Texas in Denton. 

Muniz has a new job at Texas Woman’s University as an assistant professor of marketing in the Department of Management and Marketing.
