Change in major broadened biz student’s horizons

Brittney Lay experienced a little bit of corporate culture this past summer with her internship at Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART). The Texas Woman’s junior not only received real-world experience, she also obtained hands-on training that aligned with her business administration degree.

Education abroad experience leads to overseas career

Texas Woman's University graduate student Jackie Farias felt a strong pull to Ireland, leading her to participate in an internship program in Dublin through TWU’s Education Abroad. After completing her internship, Farias was offered a full-time position and has been living in Dublin since January 2025.

TWU alum finds purpose in Rangers outreach program

Jesse Malone, who graduated from TWU in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in marketing, is the senior manager of the Academy Outreach and Education Programs at the Texas Rangers Baseball Club. She is beginning her 10th season with the Rangers after  starting as a youth ballpark intern when she was a junior at TWU.

Scholarships ease path for TWU business students

Crystal Filbeck and Erin Wimberly received scholarships from the North Texas Society for Human Resource Management. The scholarships will assist the two Texas Woman’s Merrilee Alexander Kick College of Business and Entrepreneurship students in finishing their degrees. Filbeck is working on her BBA in Human Resource Management, while Wimberly is pursuing an MBA with an emphasis in Human Resource Management. Both students are graduating in December 2025. 

Beta Gamma Sigma honor society offers career boost for students

Texas Woman’s MBA student Bridget Hadnot-Roberts is the first president of the newly formed Beta Gamma Sigma student organization.
