Profile
Laura Walker, PhD is a visiting assistant professor of management in the MAK College of Business and Entrepreneurship at TWU. She received a PhD (2021) in management (OB/HR) from the Ryan College of Business at the University of North Texas and earned her bachelor’s (2002) and master’s (2004) degrees in parks, recreation, and tourism management from Clemson University. Before joining the faculty at Texas Woman’s University, Dr. Walker served for four years as an assistant professor at Troy University. She also worked as a lecturer in the recreation, event, and sport management program at the University of North Texas. In addition to her academic roles, Dr. Walker has held professional positions in recreation and special event planning and programming. Her teaching experience includes a range of undergraduate and graduate courses in Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management.
