Devalina Nag, PhD joined TWU in Fall 2025. She previously served as an assistant professor of management at the University of San Diego, where she taught graduate and undergraduate courses in OBHR. Dr. Nag’s research examines how developing leaders and strengthening psychological safety create high-performing workplaces, with a focus on emerging technologies and timely issues affecting women’s careers. Her scholarship appears in leading journals including Journal of Business Venturing Insights, Human Resource Management Journal, and Gender in Management and has been consistently presented at international and national conferences, including the Academy of Management, the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, and the Southern Management Association. In 2023, Dr. Nag was awarded a $148,020 NSF grant to design leadership interventions to foster psychologically safe work environments. This builds on her applied work during her graduate studies as a Department of Education and Social Security Administration Fellow (2015–2017), where she developed financial literacy tools to empower women from trauma-affected backgrounds and was twice invited to present her work at the Administration’s annual Washington, D.C. forum. Through her research, teaching, and service, Dr. Nag equips leaders, organizations, scholars, and practitioners with evidence-based strategies that empower employees and drive organizational effectiveness.
