Beware of expensive apartment lease trap

BEWARE OF LEASES WITH HOLDOVER PROVISIONS. They can get you charged with several months’ worth of rent for even turning your keys in late on the day you are scheduled to move out. DO NOT SIGN such a lease! Otherwise, you should have the provision removed from the lease before you sign it.
