LaShon Ross, Deputy City Manager, Plano

LaShon has dedicated more than 37 years to public service, leading with purpose, compassion, and a belief that when people grow, organizations thrive. She has served in key leadership roles including HR Director and Deputy City Manager for the City of Plano, as well as HR Director for the City of Texarkana.

After a brief retirement in 2016, LaShon continued her work as a professional development facilitator and interim leader with several Texas cities before returning “home” to Plano in 2022 — first as HR Director and then as Deputy City Manager.

With degrees in Business Administration and Counseling, LaShon combines strategic leadership with a genuine heart for people. She’s passionate about helping others reach their potential and stays active in the community through mentoring, board service, and volunteer work. Most of all, she treasures her roles as mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother.
