WTLP offers Write to Change the World workshop

Feb. 6, 2024 – DENTON – TWU's Women’s Thought Leadership Program is offering up to 30 members of the TWU, Denton, Dallas and Houston communities the opportunity to take part in a private, virtual “Write to Change the World” workshop. 

The workshop is organized and facilitated by The OpEd Project, a think tank and leadership organization that accelerates the ideas and impact of underrepresented voices. Its workshops are based on models of transformational learning to unlock knowledge. Games, high-stakes scenarios and live experiments challenge participants to think in new and bigger ways.

Participants will explore the source of credibility, the patterns and elements of persuasion, the difference between being right and being effective, and how to think bigger about what they know to have more impact in the world. Participants emerge with op-ed drafts and more and access to resources, including a national network of journalist mentors for individual follow up.

Selected participants will receive a pass that allows them to attend a two-part virtual workshop on March 7-8, 1-4:30 p.m.
