Public Information Requests
Texas Government Code, Chapter 552, gives members of the public the right to access government records and all government information is presumed to be available to the public. Certain exceptions may apply to the disclosure of the information. Governmental bodies shall promptly release requested information that is not confidential by law, either constitutional, statutory, or by judicial decision, or information for which an exception to disclosure has not been sought. The Chancellor and President of Texas Woman’s University has designated the Office of General Counsel (“OGC”) as its Public Information Officer to whom requests for public information are to be made. TWU utilizes the procedures outlined in Texas Government Code, Chapter 552 in responding to requests for public information.
Methods of Request
OGC accepts requests for public information through the following methods:
Electronic Requests (Highly Recommended)
Make an electronic request through the Public Records Center
***It is highly recommended to use this method.
Email Requests
Make a request via email to OpenRecordsRequest@twu.edu
U.S. Mail Requests
Make a request via U.S. Mail by completing the Public Information Request Form [PDF] and mailing it to the following address:
