ACUE

In partnership with the Association of College and University Educators, often referred to locally as ACUE, TWU provides the opportunity for new and seasoned faculty to participate in an 8 month facilitated online program of study, focusing on four major areas of their teaching practice. Those areas are:

• Creating an Inclusive and Supportive Learning Environment
• Promoting Active Learning
• Inspiring Inquiry and Preparing Lifelong Learners
• Designing Learner-Centered and Equitable Courses

For each of these areas, participants are asked to engage with the topics, listen, watch, and learn from the content, undertake deep thinking about possible challenges or misconceptions, and practice and reflect on what they have learned.

Faculty who complete the program earn a Certificate in Effective College Instruction and digital badges, which can be added to curriculum vitae, used in online teaching portfolios, and displayed on LinkedIn profiles or webpages as a sign of achievement.
