Universal Design helps instructors implement their courses to be usable by all students, to the greatest extent possible, without the need for adaption or accommodation.
Quality Assurance
Quality Assurance in online course design involves systematically evaluating and enhancing the quality of online courses. This ensures they are well-structured, accessible, engaging, and pedagogically sound. The goal is to create an online learning environment that promotes student success.
Open Educational Practices
Open Educational Practices (OEP) work closely with Open Educational Resources (OER) to create a learner-driven classroom environment that values access, affordability, and cultural responsiveness.
Canvas
Canvas is a web-based application which allows instructors to put class materials on the Internet. It provides a variety of tools to facilitate teaching and learning.
Online Course Design Checklist
This checklist provides guidelines to assist with creating high-quality online courses. This checklist can be used when designing and developing new online courses, reviewing a previously developed online course, or to provide ideas for revising an existing online course.
