Undergraduate Council

The Undergraduate Council:

  • Reviews proposals for new undergraduate programs;
  • Oversees the core curriculum;
  • Conducts periodic reviews of undergraduate programs;
  • Addresses university-wide issues such as retention and college readiness.

Membership includes elected faculty (based on the new core curriculum objectives and non-core departments); student representatives; one representative each from Faculty Senate, Council of Chairs, and Academic Council. Ex-officio members include the offices of Curriculum & Strategic Initiatives, Institutional Research & Data Management, Registrar, Academic Assessment, Library, Pioneer Center for Student Excellence, Student Life, Enrollment Services, Center for Faculty Excellence, and Development, Design, & Delivery.

Meeting Dates and Locations

Please comply with the deadlines for course and program proposal for the sub-committees to review them prior to the Undergraduate Council meeting. ( All CIM workflow steps must be approved before the sub-committees consider them). 

Notes: New program proposals and/or modifications with substantive changes that do not meet the deadlines will be moved to next month.
