Vernon L. Krueger, DDS, JD, LLM
Vernon L. Krueger is one of the founding partners of Krueger Law Group, LLP in Dallas, Texas. The firm specializes in healthcare litigation, health law and insurance defense litigation, including matters pending before the Texas Medical Board, Texas State Board of Dental Examiners and Texas Board of Nursing. Vernon was a practicing general dentist (the University of Texas Health Science Center – San Antonio class of 1982) before he graduated from Baylor University School of Law and began practicing law in 1990. Vernon earned his LL.M. in health law from the University of Houston, College of Law in 2006.
He is board certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell. He is also a member of the College of the State Bar of Texas and Texas Association of Defense Counsel.
Vernon is licensed to practice law in both Texas and Oklahoma. In addition, Vernon is licensed to practice in the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and the United States District Courts for the Northern, Eastern, and Southern and Western Districts of Texas.
Vernon has tried many healthcare liability cases, including wrongful death cases, to successful defense verdicts in various courts throughout the State of Texas, as well as representing physicians, dentists and nurses at the various licensing boards in the State of Texas with excellent outcomes.

Course Description
Dental hygienists and dentists continue to seek ways in which to mitigate the risk of litigation for themselves and their practice. This course explores the the laws of the Dental Practice Act set forth by the Texas Legislature and the rules and regulations set by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners. Included in this course will be the ethics and standard of care that govern dentistry, appropriate documentation in records and how violations are addressed.
Course Objectives
At the end of this course the participant will be able to:
- Evaluate the Dental Practice Act and TSBDE Rules and Regulations.
- Examine ethical practice and utilization of the standard of care.
- Analyze appropriate documentation for record keeping.
