Krystal Heinzen Lindsay

Dr. Krystal Heinzen Lindsey is a public service leader, educator, and civic engagement strategist who believes leadership is ultimately measured by what we enable people and communities to do. For more than 15 years, she has worked across government, education, and community settings, helping leaders navigate complex systems, build stronger organizations, and turn ideas into action.

As founder of The EDvocate Group, Dr. Lindsey brings together her experience in law, education, organizational leadership, and civic engagement to help people move from information to participation and from participation to influence. Her career has included federal service, collaborating with school districts, local government agencies, Head Start programs, and communities across more than 40 states, and leadership in initiatives designed to strengthen civil dialogue and democratic participation.

She holds a J.D. from Stetson University College of Law and an Ed.D. from American University. Her work and research explore a question central to women’s leadership in public service: how do we use the knowledge, relationships, and influence we have to create meaningful change?
