Gabriella Bermea
Gabriella Bermea is a licensed architect and nationally recognized advocate for equity and access in the design professions. As Senior Associate at Perkins Eastman, one of the world’s leading architecture and design firms, she designs schools and educational environments across the globe, bringing a practitioner’s lens to the relationship between the built environment, community investment, and public policy. Her work sits at the intersection of design, civic leadership, and professional access, translating the structural barriers of a complex profession into systems-level solutions with measurable reach.
Beyond her practice, Gabriella chairs the NCARB Experience Committee, co-leads NOMA at the national level, the City of Pflugerville Board of Adjustments, and the Austin ISD Environmental Stewardship Advisory Committee. She is a current recipient of the LBJ Women’s Campaign School CWG grant at UT Austin.
Gabriella’s influence extends from school communities and civic boards to national policy tables. As founder of Architect Big Sis, a career education platform reaching 40,000+ professionals across social platforms, past Editor-in-Chief of CONNECTION Magazine, and a sought-after speaker across the country, she brings a rare combination of technical expertise, storytelling, and systems thinking to every room she enters.
