Erica Kress

Erica Kress is an independent disability consultant, accessibility advocate, and public speaker. A proud blind Latina and Texan, she draws on both her professional expertise and lived experience to advance accessibility and inclusion.

After a decade working with students with disabilities in Texas public schools, Erica now collaborates with museums, businesses, schools, and community organizations to create more inclusive experiences. She combines her background in art history with her passion for disability advocacy to help ensure educational and cultural spaces are welcoming to all.

Erica was appointed by the Governor of Texas to serve on the Texas Rehabilitation Council, where she advises the Texas Workforce Commission on vocational rehabilitation services. She speaks on disability inclusion, accessibility, leadership, universal design, and the power of lived experience to create meaningful change.
