Daisy Hernandez

Daisy Hernandez

Daisy Hernandez is a public service professional and civic leader dedicated to navigating the complexities of municipal and state governance. She holds a Master of Public Affairs from the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin, where she developed a foundation in policy analysis and strategic management.

Daisy’s career is defined by a commitment to the "boots-on-the-ground" reality of public service. Her experience spans multiple levels of government, including serving as a Congressional Intern through the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) for Representative Sylvia Garcia and a District Office Intern in downtown Austin for Representative Lloyd Doggett. These roles provided her with a high-level understanding of federal policy-making.

In the field, she has navigated the front lines of social services with the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) and currently serves in municipal law enforcement records for a North Texas police department. To further her impact in local governance, she is a current participant in the Leadership Allen program through the Allen Chamber of Commerce and is a graduate of the Collin County Citizens Prosecutor Academy.

An advocate for early-career professionals, Daisy focuses on the intersection of professional vetting, financial autonomy, and the transition from academic theory to public sector practice. She is committed to inspiring the next generation of Gen Z leaders to build resilient, successful careers in local government.
