Program to help Houston-area women grow their businesses
The Center for Women Entrepreneurs at Texas Woman’s University has announced the opening of applications for its AccelerateHER Program – Houston.
The program provides early-stage entrepreneurs with the resources and education to fast-track their existing businesses.
Six Houston area women-owned businesses will be selected to participate in this intensive training program facilitated by the TWU Center for Women Entrepreneurs at Sesh Coworking.
The program will provide the AccelerateHER - Houston cohort with the following:
- 24/7 access to a dedicated workspace at Sesh Coworking
- Direct access to a business advisor and mentors during and after the program
- Intensive entrepreneurial training from industry experts on vital business resources and processes
- LivePlan and Growth Wheel user products
- Subject matter experts to help expand knowledge and networking opportunities
Important dates:
- Applications open Sept. 4, 2024
- Applications close Oct. 8, 2024
- The program starts Oct. 22, 2024
- Anticipated end date February 2025 (with time off during holidays)
- The cohort will meet in person on Tuesdays from 6-8 p.m.
- A weekly virtual pop-in meeting on Thursdays from 11:30 a.m.–1 p.m.

The Center for Women Entrepreneurs is a program of the Jane Nelson Institute for Women’s Leadership at Texas Woman’s University. The institute is dedicated to preparing more women to take on successful roles in business and public service.
