Open Educational Practices

Open Educational Practices (OEP) work closely with Open Educational Resources (OER) to create a learner-driven classroom environment that values access, affordability, and cultural responsiveness. OEP are a set of pedagogical practices that include engaging students in content creation and making their learning accessible.

OEP Community of Practice

CD3 hosts an OEP Community of Practice, whose mission is to introduce and enhance Open Educational Practices at TWU. The community of practice focuses on:

  • Creating space to discuss Open Educational Practices, which includes sharing ideas, challenges, and opportunities
  • Determining and hosting specific activities and events for enhancing open education in TWU classrooms
  • Providing a space for peer support and collaboration for grants projects, presentations, publications, and other projects related to Open Pedagogy

To join the OEP Community of Practice, email Audrey Lundahl.
