Peggy Rose '79, '86

With a foundation rooted in her education at Texas Woman’s University, Peggy Rose '79, '86 has transformed a passion for physical education and public health into a distinguished and trailblazing career.

After earning her Bachelor of Arts in Public Health/Social Studies in 1979, Rose returned to TWU to pursue a Master of Science in Physical Education, which she completed in 1986. Her thesis, “Training Manual for Women Hurdlers,” was a forward-thinking contribution to women’s athletics and a reflection of her commitment to expanding access and excellence in sports education.

Throughout her career, Rose has embodied the innovative spirit TWU instills in its graduates. She has dedicated herself to advancing opportunities in both athletics and health education, aligning closely with the university’s mission to prepare leaders who make meaningful, lasting contributions in their fields.
