Undergraduate Council

The Undergraduate Council:

  • Reviews proposals for new undergraduate programs;
  • Oversees the core curriculum;
  • Conducts periodic reviews of undergraduate programs;
  • Addresses university-wide issues such as retention and college readiness.

Membership includes elected faculty (based on the new core curriculum objectives and non-core departments); student representatives; one representative each from the Faculty Senate, Council of Chairs, and Academic Council. Ex officio members include the offices of Undergraduate Studies, Institutional Research & Data Management, Registrar, Academic Assessment, Library, Pioneer Center for Student Excellence, Student Life, Enrollment Services, and Center for Faculty Success.

Meeting Dates and Locations

Please comply with the deadlines for course and program proposal for the sub-committees to review them prior to the Undergraduate Council meeting. (All CIM workflow steps must be approved before the sub-committees consider them). 

Notes: New program proposals and/or modifications with substantive changes, and course proposals (core and global perspectives) that do not meet the deadlines will be moved to next month.
