Dining Hall Grand Opening

Oct. 14, 2019 — DENTON — Texas Woman’s University will officially open the long-awaited Dining Hall on Oct. 28 with a ribbon cutting at 11:15 a.m.

The brief ceremony will take place at the main entry of the Dining Hall on the west side of the building. Grand opening festivities will include free cupcakes, prizes, a DJ on the patio and more.

“We are very excited about the opening of the Dining Hall,” said Jill Eckardt, TWU’s director of housing and dining. “Being able to offer high quality dining options in a setting that features multiple food stations and outdoor, patio seating is something that we have not had before.”

The 26,000 sq. ft. dining hall replaces the Underground as the university’s primary dining facility for residential students and is a continuation of the university’s public-private partnership project.
