Boo at the U

October 8, 2019 — Denton — What has treats and eats, train rides, inflatables, spooky stories and even a haunted house? It’s “Boo at the U” at Texas Woman’s University! The popular, annual fall festival returns to the Denton campus Student Union, located on the southwest corner of Bell Avenue and Administration Drive, on October 24 from 5-8 p.m.

Admission is free and open to the public, but attendees are encouraged to donate one canned good per person to support the TWU Food Pantry. More than 3,000 local children attend the festival each year.

“This is such a fun, family-friendly event that we are also inviting people to bring their well-behaved dogs to join the festivities this year,” said Anna Hunter, Associate Director of Student Union Program. The “Pup Parade” begins at 6:30 p.m.  All dogs on campus must be on a leash at all times and have a collar with updated tags.

In addition to trunk-or-treating, photo opportunities and free activities, attendees can Build-A-Buddy for $7 or $10 while supplies last. In honor of TWU’s mascot, an 8” or 18” plush owl will receive a “Boo at the U” t-shirt and birth certificate.

Food from Starbucks, Chick-fil-A and TEA co. will be available for purchase, and attendees may bring food items; however, alcohol on campus is prohibited.

Parking is available from 4:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. in any “All Decal” designated lots, marked with a black painted curb. For additional information, call 940-898-3641.
