Volunteer Advising

What is Volunteer Advising?

Are you wanting to make a difference in the community but don’t know where to start? Want to find a like-minded group of students to volunteer with? Do you need service hours but aren’t sure how to start volunteering? Check out our Volunteer Advising program and receive a walkthrough of potential volunteering avenues!

How Does it Work?

  1. Check out the Civic Engagement Pioneer Engage Portal and sign up online!
  2. Fill out the volunteer advising form with as much info as you can. This will help us get a good idea of what kind of volunteer opportunities fit with what you’re looking for.
  3. A representative of TWU Volunteer Services will be in contact with you to schedule a one-on-one meeting based on your availability.
  4. After you meet, the Volunteer Services Representative will send a recap of the meeting for you to reference and will check back in 3 weeks to see if their advising was helpful.

If you have any questions about Volunteer Advising, please contact the Center for Student Involvement or 940-898-3626.
