Task (Lump Sum) Payments
Task payments, also called lump sum payments, are typically used to make a one-time payment to employees for work performed outside their regular appointment. Prior to the work being started, a Supplemental Pay Pre-Authorization Form must be processed for all budgeted employees. After the work is completed, a task payment must be entered and processed through the Oracle MSS system.
If the work is being paid on an hourly basis, a timesheet must be attached to this form. If an employee is being paid for other regular employment, the task payment is added to the regular paycheck received on the first of the month.
