What is a typical coaching session like?
Each session typically lasts between 45 to 50 minutes and is personalized based on your unique needs, goals, and experiences. Life Skills Coaches are here to create a supportive space where you can reflect, grow, and explore new strategies that work for you.
We believe you are the expert on your own life. Our role is to guide you using thoughtful questions, strengths-based approaches, and tools that help you build skills for success.
How do I prepare for a coaching session?
First session (Intake)
For your first coaching session, we recommend bringing a completed intake form, any questions you have for your coach, and a few topics or goals you’d like to explore. This initial session is all about helping your coach get to know you, your experiences, strengths, and the areas where you'd like support.
If something urgent is on your mind, don’t wait, let your coach know. We’re here to help and prioritize what matters most to you.
Ongoing sessions
Between sessions, take time to reflect on what you’ve tried, what worked well, what didn’t, and what you still have questions about. We encourage you to bring those insights to your next session, so we can continue building on your progress.
You’re also welcome to bring up new challenges or time-sensitive concerns as they come up. Coaching is flexible and meant to meet you where you are.
How many coaching sessions can I attend per semester?

Meeting time and frequency may change. You may discuss attendance further with your coach.
