U.S. News ranks OT, PT schools among nation’s best
April 7, 2026 — DENTON — U.S. News & World Report has recognized Texas Woman’s graduate programs in occupational therapy and physical therapy as being among the nation’s best ― and being the No. 1 and No. 2 programs, respectively, in Texas.
The publication’s 2026 “Best Graduate Schools” edition, released April 7, offers rankings in a variety of programs that were based solely on surveys of academic leaders in those disciplines.
TWU’s occupational therapy program was tied for No. 15 nationally out of 289 graduate OT programs that were considered, while the university’s physical therapy program tied for No. 25 out of 278 graduate PT programs evaluated.
Among graduate programs evaluated at Texas universities, TWU’s OT program was ranked No. 1 out of 16 and its PT program was ranked No. 2 out of 16.
U.S. News also ranked TWU grad programs in library and information studies, health care management, sociology, fine arts, English, speech-language pathology, and psychology.
Additionally, the publication recognized Texas Woman’s graduate business programs in accounting (MBA/MSA), business analytics (MBA/MHA), entrepreneurship (MBA), and marketing (MBA).
