Dec. 16, 2025 – Texas Woman’s groundskeepers are making a habit of creating award-winning landscapes.

For the ninth time since 2007, the Professional Grounds Management Society® recognized TWU as having among the nation’s top landscapes, “underscoring a commitment to recognizing excellence in grounds management and environmental stewardship nationwide.”

The organization selected the university for its Honor Award – the second-highest recognition – during the society’s 53rd Annual Green Star Awards program in Louisville, Kentucky in October.

In all, 13 educational institutions were recognized with a Grand Award (the highest honor), an Honor Award or a Merit Award. The Texas Woman’s campuses received the Honor Award in the competition’s mid-size college category.

“Our landscape team takes its work seriously, and the team’s attention to detail and meticulous groundskeeping is reflected in its efforts every day,” said Bob Trevino, TWU’s manager of landscape operations.
