U.S. News ranks TWU grad programs among nation’s best
April 9, 2024 — DENTON — U.S. News & World Report has recognized Texas Woman’s graduate programs in occupational therapy, physical therapy, nursing and speech-language pathology as being among the nation’s best ― and among the top programs in Texas.
The publication’s 2024 “Best Graduate Schools” edition, released April 9, offers rankings in 11 disciplines that were based solely on surveys of academic leaders in those disciplines.
Texas Woman’s occupational therapy program was tied for No. 16 out of 263 graduate OT programs that were considered, while the university’s physical therapy program tied for No. 29 out of 245 graduate PT programs evaluated.
TWU’s nursing program was ranked within the top 15% of master’s nursing programs while the speech-therapy program was in the top half of graduate programs in that discipline.
Among graduate programs at Texas universities, TWU’s OT program was ranked No. 1 and its PT program was ranked No. 2, while Texas Woman’s master’s nursing program was ranked No. 4 and its speech-language pathology program was ranked No. 8 in the state.
U.S. News also ranked TWU grad programs in health care management, biological sciences, English, fine arts, psychology, sociology and library and information studies.
