TWU landscapers recognized again for excellence

Oct. 21, 2024 — DENTON — A global landscapers organization has again recognized Texas Woman’s University as having among the nation’s best grounds professionals.

The Professional Grounds Management Society® recognized Texas Woman’s as a 2024 Green Star Awards® winner during the society’s annual awards celebration on Oct. 17 in conjunction with the PGMS 2024 Annual Conference “Transform” in Louisville, Kentucky.

In all, 15 educational institutions were recognized with a Grand Award (the highest honor), an Honor Award or the Sustainability Award. The Texas Woman’s campuses received the Honor Award in the competition’s mid-size college category. The society has recognized Texas Woman’s eight times since 2007.

“This achievement is the result of countless hours of hard work and dedication from our grounds team members, whose relentless commitment to detail and skill continuously keeps our campus landscape in tip-top shape,” said Robert Trevino, TWU’s manager of landscape operations.
