TWU now offering free CLEP testing for eligible participants
DENTON, Texas --- Texas Woman’s University’s Academic Testing Services has partnered with the College Board and Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support (DANTES) to offer no-cost College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) tests for military personnel, their spouses and civilian employees of the U.S. Air Force.
CLEP tests allow participants to acquire college credit for certain courses if they earn successful scores on the exams. Through the partnership with the College Board and DANTES, TWU will waive exam and administrative fees for eligible first-time test takers.
CLEP exams are administered through TWU’s Academic Testing Services inside the Oakland Complex. Testing began on March 25.
The following groups are eligible for no-cost CLEP exams at TWU:
- Military personnel (active duty, reserve, National Guard): Army, Navy, Marine Corps, U.S. Coast Guard, Army Reserve, Air Force Reserve, Marine Corps Reserve, Navy Reserve, Coast Guard Reserve, Army, and Air National Guard.
- Spouses of: Coast Guard (active and reserve)
- Civilian employees of the U.S. Air Force
