Not only is Tammy the first Asian-American to serve on the Frisco City Council and as Deputy Mayor Pro Tem, she made history as the first Korean-American female elected to vany City Council in the State of Texas.
Tammy currently serves as the Chair of the Governance Committee, Council Liaison to the Veterans Advisory Committee, and a Primary Member of the Regional Transportation Council of the North Central Texas Council of Governments, collaborating with 45 regional elected leaders to meet the growing needs of North Texas. As a Texas Municipal League Leadership Fellow, Tammy completed extensive training in negotiation, change management, and ethical leadership.

Prior to being elected, Tammy’s diverse background as a former public school teacher, nonprofit executive, brand consultant, and Chief Innovation Officer of a 40-year global executive search firm uniquely prepared her to identify leaders and collaborate with everyone, from students to CEO’s. Passionate about education, Tammy served on the Advisory Boards of Legacy Christian Academy and Leadership Prep School, and has been a mentor for the business incubator program in the Frisco Independent School District. As a member of the Orchid Giving Circle through the Texas Women’s Foundation, Tammy has helped award more than $1.3 million in grants to Asian-American causes in North Texas.
