Kristin Jones, MBA, United Way of Denton County
Kristin Jones, MBA, joined United Way of Denton County in January of 2017 to lead its fundraising efforts. With an extensive nonprofit resume that spans more than a decade, Jones has worked in development for the March of Dimes Foundation in Dallas, Bartlesville Regional United Way in Oklahoma, United Way of Greater Kansas City, Missouri, and the American Heart Association in Overland Park, Kansas. Kristin earned her Master of Business Administration from Mid-America Nazarene University and Bachelor in Psychology & Communications from University of Kansas.
Serving her community alongside family and friends is not only her career, but a personal passion for Kristin. Currently, she serves on the board of directors for Lewisville Area Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the Texas Health Leadership Council. Kristin is a graduate of 2023 Leadership Denton and 2018 Leadership Lewisville. Kristin is also the current president of Greater Frisco Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc., and an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., serving in several leadership capacities for both organizations over the years.
Recently, Kristin was celebrated as Good Morning America's 2023 Mother of the Year in appreciation of her continuous passion, service and devotion to her children, family, and community. This recognition resulted in a $10,000 donation to two causes closest to Kristin’s heart: United Way of Denton County and Jack and Jill of America, Inc.
