Katherine McLane is a veteran leader in Texas politics and policy communications, recognized nationally for her visionary leadership and commitment to advancing women in public service. As Founder & CEO of The Mach 1 Group, she has mentored and sponsored countless women professionals, guiding them through the complexities of government relations, media, and public affairs. Her all-women team has led high-profile campaigns shaping legislation in regulatory reform, cryptocurrency, public education, teacher empowerment, affordable housing, and maternal wellbeing.

Beyond her firm, Katherine has served as Chair of the Ann Richards School Foundation Board of Directors and as a member of the Austin Women’s Symphony League, championing women’s leadership, arts education, and community service.
