Ann Margolin, former Dallas City Council Member
Ann Margolin is a business owner, community leader and an executive coach. She served on the Dallas City Council from 2009-2013 representing northwest Dallas.
She was the first woman to chair the Board of Managers of Parkland Hospital, Dallas’s County hospital. She currently serves on the board and executive committee of the Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum as well as the board and executive committee of the Dallas College Foundation. She recently served on the Dallas City Bond Task Force. She has previously served on the City Planning and Zoning Commission and the Dallas Park and Recreation Board. She is immediate past board chair of TexProtects (The Texas Association for the Protection of Children) which advocates for legislation to fund child abuse prevention programs and improve foster care and Child Protective Services.
Ann has received several recognitions including the Susan B. Anthony Award from the League of Women Voters, the Maura Award from the Texas Women’s Foundation and the Distinguished Alumni Award from Leadership Dallas. Ann has a BS and MA degree in Communication from Northwestern University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
She is married to Fred Margolin and has two grown children and two wonderful cats.
