Angela Lewallen, Ambassador for Braver Angels

Angela Lewallen grew up in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and recently retired from a thirty year career in public education. Serving as a middle school Language Arts teacher, mentor, and staff development presenter, she developed an interest in media literacy as an essential skill for civic participation. Angela brings experience in teaching communication skills, facilitating peer mediation, and the application of mediation training to her role as a Braver Angels Ambassador. She holds a M.Ed. in Secondary Education from UNT and is a certified school librarian. Angela lives in Lewisville where she is active on city boards and with educational and environmental non-profits.
