Landdeck to speak at Air Force Academy

Sept. 30, 2025 – DENTON – TWU History professor Kate Landdeck will give the Harmon Memorial Lecture at the U.S. Air Force Academy on October 14.

Landdeck is only the third woman to give the lecture. She will speak about the Women Airforce Service Pilots and about the shift to allow women into the Academy in 1976.

The Harmon Memorial Lecture began in 1959. An audience of 1,200, primarily Academy cadets, is expected.
