Biography
Peggy S. Lisenbee’s background is in early childhood education. She teaches both online and face-to-face for both undergraduate and graduate students. She researches literacy strategies for struggling readers, computational thinking in young children, technology integration in early childhood classrooms, culturally supportive learning environments in early childhood as well as on teacher development. Before teaching in academia, she was a Pre-k and first-grade teacher in a public school. She presents research findings at international, national, state, and regional conferences and has been published in peer-reviewed professional journals such as Early Childhood Education Journal, Young Children, Early Years: Journal of TXAEYC, and Journal of Literacy and Technology. She has a pre-service teachers’ textbook co-written with Dr. Jodi Pilgrim and Dr. Sheri Vasinda in the publication process with Routledge available in fall 2020, Integrating Technology In Literacy Instruction: Models And Frameworks For All Learners.
