Biography

A few years after graduation from Northeast Texas Community College (NTCC), I worked as a registered nurse at Hunt Regional Medical Center for 24 years, specializing in Occupational Health and Urgent Care. After earning my master’s degree in 2016. I soon found a desire to manage chronic conditions. I worked within our hospital’s Transitional Care and Chronic Care Management Clinic to help patients manage their chronic conditions and prevent hospitalizations.
Determined to be proactive in teaching, I accepted the role of Adjunct Faculty at TWU in the MSN program to share my knowledge and learn from our students. Education has been meaningful and fulfilling, and I soon accepted the role of Assistant Clinical Professor. I realized the greatest way to impact the future of nursing is to lead by example, and I am currently enrolled at The University of South Alabama to earn a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree.
