Biography

Dr. Christie Acho is an Assistant Clinical Professor and Interim FNP Track Coordinator at Texas Woman’s University in Dallas, TX. Her career in the healthcare industry started at University Teaching Hospital in Ibadan, Nigeria, where she obtained her Associate degree in Nursing. She and her husband Dr. Sonny Acho, migrated to America for an advanced education and she continued on to get her BSN at Texas Woman’s University in Denton, TX. As a Registered Nurse, she worked in the ICU department at Parkland Hospital and after her children had all gone to college, Dr. Acho decided to further her education and earn a degree as a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner also at Texas Woman’s University in Denton, TX.
