Biography

Dr. Monique J. LeMieux earned a B.S. in Biology (minor in Chemistry) from Christopher Newport University (CNU) in 2008 and her M.S. in Life Science from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville (UTK) in 2012. Then in 2015, She earned her PhD in Nutritional Sciences from Texas Tech University.  Her dissertation work focused on researching the link between the renin-angiotensin system, obesity, and inflammation as well as related nutritional interventions. Following the completion of PhD, Dr. LeMieux joined Texas Woman's University as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Nutrition and Food Sciences. Dr. LeMieux's research focus is on understanding the pathogenesis of Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) and identifying nutritional treatments for women with PCOS.
